Project Overview
Works are now underway in Leamington Spa on a new Big Yellow Self Storage facility, where we are proud to be delivering the full masonry package on behalf of MCS Build.
The project marks an exciting new chapter in our working relationship with MCS Build and represents the first of what we hope will be many projects we contribute to together.
The development will transform the former Aldi store on Queensway, bringing a vacant site back into meaningful use and creating a modern, sustainable self-storage facility at a key gateway location within Leamington Spa.
Our Role
BF Brickwork has been appointed as the brickwork contractor, delivering the full masonry package across the development.
Our scope includes brickwork, blockwork and associated sundry items, with our experienced masonry team working closely with MCS Build and the wider project team to ensure the works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
With our extensive experience delivering masonry packages across commercial developments, we understand the importance of quality workmanship, attention to detail and maintaining programme requirements throughout the construction process.

Sustainability & Design
Sustainability and biodiversity have been key considerations within the design of the new development.
The scheme will incorporate a bespoke living wall and green roof alongside enhanced landscaping, helping to improve biodiversity and create a more attractive and sustainable environment.
The development has also been designed with a strong architectural presence, creating a distinctive new building at an important gateway location within Leamington Spa.
By transforming a previously vacant retail site into a modern self-storage facility, the project will make meaningful use of an existing developed site while delivering a high-quality new building for the local area.
Community Impact
The redevelopment of the former Aldi site will bring a previously vacant location back into productive use, creating a modern facility while enhancing the surrounding environment.
Once complete, the development will:

Looking Ahead
We’re pleased to be making a strong start on site in Leamington Spa and to be contributing our masonry expertise to another Big Yellow development.
The project represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen our relationship with MCS Build while continuing our long-standing partnership with Big Yellow.
As construction progresses, we look forward to seeing the new facility take shape and supporting the delivery of another high-quality self-storage development, with completion currently targeted for April 2027.
